COVID-19 TRAVEL UPDATE

8 May 2020:

On Friday 8 May 2020 the Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk released Queensland’s Roadmap to Easing COVID-19 restrictions.

The roadmap outlines a staged approach to giving Queenslanders more freedom to travel, participate in more activities and hold more gatherings. In particular, caravan parks are able to open for holiday makers from 13 June 2020 onwards for ‘a 250km drive holiday in your region’.

Our booking terms and conditions have been updated to give you peace of mind and confidence to book a future holiday.

COVID-19 TRAVEL UPDATE

7 April 2020:

Due to the Qld Government’s updated regulations, only the following members of the public may be accommodated at our park. This is defined as:

  • Permanent residents of the park
  • Persons travelling for work
  • Persons with no place of permanent residence

The health and wellbeing of our permanent residents, staff and the wider community continues to remain our top priority. We are continuing with our additional hygiene and cleanliness measures, and we request all residents and visitors adhere to social distancing requirements.

We look forward to welcoming back all our loyal holidaymakers and other guests to our park when this unprecedented health crisis is over.

For those who are permitted to stay here, please contact us to make a booking.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. Stay safe.

27 March 2020:

To all our valued residents and guests, it is with much sadness that due to Queensland Government COVID-19 restrictions, we advise of the temporary closure of our park to the public with the exception of guests whose primary residence is not available.

The Queensland Government directive is as follows: Where people live permanently in caravan parks or are staying in caravan parks as interim abodes where their primary residence is not available, they may continue to do so, with social distancing observed.

At this stage, we are only taking new bookings for travel dates beyond 1 May 2020. All guests due to arrive prior to April 30 will be contacted by the park. Our team is working tirelessly to resolve time-sensitive bookings first. As you can appreciate, this is a complex and unprecedented set of circumstances, and we appreciate your patience as we work through this process.

If your enquiry is urgent, please email us on email/stay)(beachcombercoconut.com.au and we will respond as soon as we can.

The health and wellbeing of our permanent residents, staff and the wider community remains our top priority. We are continuing with our additional hygiene and cleanliness measures, and we request all residents and visitors adhere to social distancing requirements.

We understand and support the need for all Australians to work together to contain the spread of COVID-19. This is a small part that we can play to join this collective national and international effort.

We look forward to welcoming back all our loyal holidaymakers and other guests to our park when this unprecedented health crisis is over.

Stay safe from the team at Beachcomber.

Whale Season

The best time to see whales up here in Mission Beach is August, September and October. Whales migrate past our beautiful islands and all sight operators experience great sighting daily during this time of year.

Talk to us and book on any of our local reef or fishing charters for the chance to see whales during your holiday here at BIG4 Beachcomber Coconut.
